ABOUT MLINI
Mlini – old historical settlement of Molina. It was the centre of milling industry. It is also historically Significant as a place which supplied Dubrovnik with water, in the period before the construction of the aqueduct. This was of a great importance, especially during dry summer months. For instance, in the 14th century there were two ships which transported drinking water from Mlini to Dubrovnik on a daily basis, and in the 19th century ships from Ukraine used to come to Mlini loaded with corn to be ground there.
The church of st. Hilarion is situated in the oldest location in Mlini. According to an old legend, st. Hillarion , anchorite and saint killed a dragon on a very shore of Mlini, and thus liberated the region from the pagans. The church was built in honor of this saint and he became patron saint of Mlini.

ABOUT ZAVRELJE
Zavrelje – settlement which got its name after a nearby spring of water. Nice stone houses overviewing the sea are located on a high cliff. The remains of pre-historical piles of stones and the Vidovo cemetary are still preserved above the settlement.
The stone above Zavrelje called the Star, marked in white to be noticeable, is a natural phenomenon ; sunbeams fall on the stone at exactly eight o’clock both during summer and in winter time. This is why it’s called the Eight o’clock stone.
